Women In Hydropower Mentorship Program

This program provides an opportunity for women to connect, generate new friendships, and share experiences in a supportive environment that highlights the powerful contributions that women make in the hydropower industry.

TheWomen in Hydropower Mentorship Program is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 mentorship cycle.  The Women in Hydropower Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for women to connect, generate new friendships and networks, and share experiences in a supportive environment that highlights the powerful contributions women from around the world make in the hydropower industry. The goal is to create a meaningful connection where the mentor and mentee become collaborators in each other’s success. This program is designed to encourage women who work in the hydropower industry to create a meaningful connection as a mentor or protege.  Here you will meet one hour per month from October to May via conference call and meet at any regional or national hydro events during the year if possible. Proteges will have opportunities to discuss their goals, challenges, and opportunities with a mentor who has a lifetime of experience.
A volunteer steering committee, passionate about mentorship and supporting women in the hydro industry, match the applicants into traditional or reciprocal mentorship pairs. Each mentorship pair is unique and adapts to a relationship style and meeting format that works best for them, meeting once a month for eight months, October to May. Applications are being accepted now through August 1 with pairs announced in early September.

Visit the website of one of the supporting hydro organizations or email the steering committee at for an application.
